A teenager driving without a license was taken into police custody after he attempted to evade officers ordering him to stop in Greenwich before he ultimately crashed. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department responded to the intersection of Hendrie Avenue and Riverside Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, where there was a report of a suspicious driver in the area. Stamford Man Driving Twice Speed Limit In BMW Convertible Under Influence, Greenwich Police Say
A Fairfield County man was busted driving his BMW more than double the legal limit through a busy intersection in Greenwich, police said. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department stopped Stamford resident Robert Homer at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, when his BMW 650xi convertible was clocked going more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone at the intersection of East Putnam Avenue and Riverside Avenue in Greenwich. Woman Charged With Leaving Scene Of Crash In Greenwich
A 43-year-old woman was charged with leaving the scene of a crash after police tracked her down by her vehicle registration. Ruth Dilworth of Greenwich was arrested Sunday after Greenwich Police responded to a vehicle crash on Riverside Avenue, Greenwich police said. Once on scene, police found property damage, and Dilworth's vehicle registration which allowed them to locate her vehicle, police said.
