Unlike the storm that hit the area on Monday, Nov. 30, this one has the potential to bring a mix of snow and rain north of I-84 in New York and Connecticut and accumulating snowfall in areas farther north and inland. Man Killed After Car Crashes Down Embankment Into Tree In Fairfield County A 56-year-old Fairfield County man was killed after his vehicle veered off a roadway amid heavy rain, went down an embankment and struck a tree. Demar K. Thompson, of Bridgeport, was killed around 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, about a mile north of Exit 12 in Shelton, while traveling southbound on Route 8, said Connecticut State Trooper Taylor Norton.
