Crash Shuts Down Roadway Near High School On CT, Westchester Border: Developing A busy road near a Westchester County high school is closed following a multi-car crash, authorities announced.  King Street in Rye Brook is currently closed in both directions between Hillandale Road and Glenville Street, the Rye Brook Police Department announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23 around 11 a.m.  The crash happened near Blind Brook High School and will likely cause the road to be closed for "an extended period of time," according to the Port Chester Fire Department. Vehicle Fire Rages Near Greenwich Line: Photos A raging vehicle fire in Westchester near the Fairfield County line kept crews busy for an extended amount of time.  The blaze happened on Thursday morning, Aug. 17 in the village of Port Chester near the border with Greenwich, the village's fire department said.  Because the car's fuel tank had become compromised, the effort to extinguish the flames became an "extended operation," according to the department.  The Greenwich, Rye Brook, and Purchase Fire Departments also helped put out the blaze.  The exact location and cause of the fire has not yet been made available…
