'Heartbreaking': Staples High Senior Killed In Westport Crash; School To Start With Delay School officials in Connecticut announced to parents that a Fairfield County high school senior was killed in a car crash on Wednesday, Sept. 11.  Max Harper, an 18-year-old senior at Staples High School, collided with a fully loaded dump truck on Old Hill Road near Patrick Road as they negotiated a difficult turn in opposite directions, Westport Police said.  Max died at the scene, authorities said.  Staples High School will have a two-hour delay on Thursday, Sept. 12, and guidance counselors will be on hand to help students with their grief, Superintendent of Westport…

One Injured During Two-Vehicle Fairfield County Crash A two-vehicle crash in Fairfield County injured one person who had to be extricated from the car. The crash took place around noon, Wednesday, Jan. 26, when the Westport Fire Department along with Westport Police and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Wilton Road at the intersection with Patrick Road.  According to Westport Assistant Chief Matthew Cohen, when emergency responders arrived on the scene they found a two-vehicle accident with injuries.  The driver of one vehicle was unable to exit the vehicle due to damage from the impact, Cohen said.
