Man Seriously Injured After Being Run Over By Own Jeep, CT State Police Say A 73-year-old man was seriously injured after being run over by his own vehicle in a liquor store parking lot after allegedly leaving the Jeep Cherokee in gear, said Connecticut State Police. The incident took place around 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, when Stephen Kovzel, of Oxford, got out of his vehicle in the parking lot of the Oxford Liquor Shoppe, at 19 Oxford Road, state police said. Connecticut State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect who stole a handbag from a local Five Guys restaurant. Members of the Oxford Police Department and Connecticut State Police troopers were dispatched to the burger joint on Oxford Road at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, where there was a report of the stolen bag.
