Driver Arrested After 6-Year-Old Left On Norwalk Housing Authority Van A 47-year-old Norwalk Housing Authority bus driver was charged with child endangerment after locking a 6-year-old on a bus for the night. The incident occurred in Norwalk on Wednesday, May 15.  According to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police, on May 15, patrol officers responded to a call where a 6-year-old child did not return home from after-school activities sponsored by the Norwalk Housing Authority.  Officers located the child asleep in the Housing Authority passenger van parked in their lot, Evarts said. Norwalk Fire Destroys Two Apartment Units, Displaces Residents Norwalk firefighters responded to a quick-moving blaze that displaced several residents. The fire started around 3:35 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, at 24 Suncrest Road, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Todd Smith. Fire Breaks Out In Norwalk Apartment Building; Tenants Evacuated NORWALK, Conn. — Six apartments were damaged but no injuries were reported in a fire Wednesday morning at Carlton Court in Norwalk, according to media reports and social media posts from first responders.  Tenants in the complex on Monterey Place evacuated as the fire broke out at about 7:30 a.m., according to the Connecticut Post.  The temperature was about 10 degrees, and buses were sent in to keep the residents of the Norwalk Housing Authority building warm, according to dispatch reports.  Assistant Fire Chief Steve Shay told the Post that the fire that started on the first floor.  Thr…
