Suspects Steal 15 Catalytic Converters From CT Nonprofit, Causing $30K Loss, Police Say
A nonprofit in Connecticut suffered an estimated $30,000 loss after 15 catalytic converters were stolen from its fleet vans.
Police in Litchfield County responded to Easterseals, a nonprofit that provides disability services, at about 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, after receiving a report that catalytic converters were stolen overnight, according to the Watertown Police Department.
Video surveillance showed that at about 12:45 a.m., a vehicle entered the parking lot, located at 320 Sylvan Lake Road in Oakville, and two suspects were seen walking around the lot, police said.
