Fairfield County Man Hit By Car Crossing Street A 31-year-old Fairfield County man was injured after being struck by a car while crossing a street. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of 82 North St., said Det. Lt. Mark Williams with the Danbury Police. A preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian, 31-year-old Nielson Rivas-Garcia of Danbury was walking across the street when he was struck by a car driven by Ronald Fields, 56, of Danbury, Williams said. Ambulance personnel treated Rivas-Garcia at the accident scene and transported him to the Danbury Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. …
