It's almost time to pull on the fat pants and head for the annual Fairfield Food Truck Festival which raises funds for the town's public library. In its sixth year, the festival will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10 at Jennings Beach from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year's festival will feature many favorites and a selection of new trucks and menus, organizers said. The Fairfield Food Truck Festival is the only one of its kind in coastal Fairfield County. Fruit Flies, Broken Cooler Reported During Health Inspection At CT Ice Cream Shop
A Connecticut ice cream shop was cited for numerous violations during a health inspection earlier this month. Milkcraft in West Hartford had a routine inspection by the health department at noon on Friday, Aug. 5, according to a report from the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District. Ceiling Collapse Injures Two At Popular CT Ice Cream Shop
Two people were injured when a ceiling collapsed inside a favorite Connecticut ice cream shop. The incident took place around 8 p.m., Monday, July 5, when the West Hartford Public Safety Dispatch received a report of a localized collapse of the ceiling structure inside the Milkcraft building at 967 Farmington Ave., said West Hartford Fire Chief Greg Priest.
