Fairfield County Teen Nabbed For Shooting Man Walking On Street, Police Say A 14-year-old Fairfield County boy has been arrested for allegedly shooting a man in the leg as he was walking down a city street. The incident took place in Stamford around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 on Woodland Avenue. According to Lt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police, a 32-year-old Stamford man was shot in the leg as he was walking on Woodland Avenue. The victim’s injury was non-life threatening but would require surgery, Scanlon said. Boyfriend Calls Cops To Admit He Shot Girlfriend In Head In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County man is behind bars after allegedly admitting to police he shot his girlfriend in the head after she attempted to stab him. The killing took place in Stamford around 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 116 Woodside Green apartment 3A. Responding officers located the boyfriend, identified as Anthony Vines, age 40, of Stamford outside of the apartment building, said Stamford Assistant Police Chief Rich Conklin.
