Five Nabbed After Tip That Group In Fairfield County Hotel Had Firearms, Police Say Five people were arrested on various charges following a tip that the group, staying at a local hotel, was allegedly in possession of firearms. The incident took place on Tuesday, March 30, in Bridgeport, when Task Force officers from the CSP Gang Unit and FBI Safe Streets received credible information that occupants of a black Nissan Maxima with a paper registration tag out of Texas were seen at the Sunny Side Inn located at 174 Lake Street in Bridgeport with what appeared to be a firearm, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. ID Released For Victim Of Fairfield County Motel Homicide ID Released For Victim Of Fairfield County Motel Homicide
ID Released For Victim Of Fairfield County Motel Homicide A 48-year-old man has been identified as the city's fourth homicide victim of the year, according to Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Alfanso Anderson, 48, of Ezra Street in Bridgeport, was found dead Monday at a local inn, Harris said. Police received a call around 11:30 p.m. Monday of shots fired at the Sunny Side Inn, 145 Lake St., Harris said. When officers responded, they found Anderson dead, who had been shot at least once. Police did not release any additional information regarding the shooting or what might have led to the violence.
