$1.5M Settlement For Family Of Fairfield County Novelist Killed In Crash The wife of a Fairfield County novelist who died in a July 2017 auto crash has received a $1.5 million settlement after suing the driver who crossed the center lane hitting his vehicle head-on. The settlement was reached earlier this week in Superior Court on behalf of Jill Kwochka of Shelton, for the death of her husband, John Kwochka, said Kwochka's attorney, Tom Ganim of Bridgeport.  "This loss was a true tragedy to all who knew and loved John Kwochka," said Ganim.
