String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported At Parks In Fairfield County Police are searching for suspects after five vehicles had items stolen at two parks in Fairfield County. The incidents took place in New Canaan beginning around 12:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24 at Irwin and Waveny parks. According to New Canaan Police, the chain of incidents began when a Subaru Forester was reported forcibly entered around 12:30 p.m. at Irwin Park. The latest larcenies took place on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Irwin Park in New Canaan, said Chief Leon Krolikowski. Stamford Motorist Tracked Down After Van Crashes Into Trees, New Canaan Police Say A 59-year-old man was located after police say he left the scene of a crash in New Canaan. The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 in the area of Ponus Ridge Road near Greenley Road. When police arrived, they found an unoccupied van that had crashed into trees. A subsequent investigation occurred and the operator of the van, 59-year-old Scott James Zane of Stamford, was located at Irwin Park. Zane, who was charged with evading responsibility by leaving the scene of the crash, was transported to police headquarters for processing, posted a $250 bond and is scheduled…
