Drunk Driver Hits Truck, Car In Construction Zone In Westport A drunk driver faces numerous charges after striking a truck and another vehicle in a construction zone on a highway in Fairfield County, police said.  The incident happened on Tuesday, April 4, around 11:40 p.m., when state police learned that a black Honda had allegedly hit a truck and another car in a construction zone on Interstate 95 northbound in Westport near Exit 17 and had then evaded the scene.  According to state police, the person who reported the incident and had been driving the second vehicle that was hit was following the Honda when he called.  Upon arriving …

Uber Eats Driver Injured During Fairfield County Carjacking, Police Say An adult and two juveniles were arrested following a carjacking in Fairfield County that left an Uber Eats driver with a severe head injury. The incident took place around 7 p.m., Saturday, March 5 when Westport Police officers responded to the parking lot of 1759 Post Road East on a report of the possible theft of a motor vehicle.  When officers arrived on the scene, they learned a white Hyundai was stolen and that during the theft the owner of the car, a sixty-four-year-old woman, suffered a head injury, said Lt. 23-Year-Old Woman Killed On I-95 After Standing Water Causes Two-Vehicle Crash, Police Say Interstate 95 in Greenwich was closed for five hours following a fatal crash between a car and a freight truck. The crash took place around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, on I-95 southbound just south of Exit 6 in Greenwich, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, a 2013 Honda CRV was traveling southbound in the left lane when it struck a large puddle of standing water due to heavy rain.
