Fallen, Stuck Horse Rescued By Quick-Thinking Firefighters In CT
Thanks to quick action from firefighters, a fallen horse in Connecticut that had become stuck and unable to get up was saved. The incident happened in Hartford County on Tuesday, Sept. 5 around 10:20 a.m., when the Broad Brook Fire Department responded to a home in East Windsor where a horse had slipped and fallen, causing it to end up in a position where it was unable to get back on its feet. 1,200-Pound Horse Stuck Under Fence Rescued By Firefighters In Stamford
Firefighters in Fairfield County rescued a 1,200-pound horse who was stuck under a fence. Stamford firefighters responded to June Road around 6:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 to a stable in the rear of the property where a 20-year-old horse named Tex was down and partially stuck under a fence, said Captain Philip Hayes, of the Stamford Fire Department. Greenwich Officer Comes To Aid Of Stray Horse During Height Of Nor'easter
Greenwich Police Officer Christopher Wallace expected to be busy during Wednesday's nor'easter, but he didn't expect to become friends with a horse and spend an hour guiding it home. The incident began when a contractor called the Greenwich Police Department about a horse running around on Round Hill Road in the backcountry, said Lt. John Slusarz.
