Fatal Crash: 45-Year-Old CT Woman Hits Car Head-On A 45-year-old Connecticut woman driving a Toyota Corolla was killed after veering into oncoming traffic on Route 2A and hitting a Nissan Altima head-on. The crash took place around 2:30 p.m. in New London County just west of the Route 2A and Harris Fuller Road intersection in the town of Preston. According to Connecticut State Police, Chrisdandra Lee Burgos, of Norwich, was traveling eastbound when she crossed into the westbound lane resulting in a head-on crash. Fatal Crash: 15-Year-Old CT Girl ID'd As Victim, 4 Others Hospitalized After Car Hits Tree A girl was killed and four other young people were hospitalized after an overnight crash on a Connecticut roadway. It happened around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Windham County on Allen Hill Road near Route 205 in the small town of Brooklyn. A 2004 Toyota Prius, with five occupants, slammed into a tree before going down an embankment, according to Connecticut State Police. These Fairfield County Hospitals Got 'A' Rating For Patient Safety, Report Says Several hospitals in Connecticut earned the top grade for keeping patients safe, according to a new report.  More than 10 hospitals in the state were awarded an "A" grade for patient safety in a new Spring 2023 report by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog organization that advocates for safety in hospitals. 16-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Pickup Into Tree, CT State Police Say A Connecticut teenager is dead after driving his 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup off the roadway and hitting a tree. Middlesex County resident Connor Young, age 16, of East Haddam, was killed around 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, on Mott Road, said the Connecticut State Police. Young was headed west near the East Haddam Turnpike when for an unknown reason the pickup veered left crossing the eastbound travel lane, state police said.
