An intoxicated Connecticut man barricaded himself inside a home in Norwalk and threatened to burn it down with someone inside because he had to "complete a mission," authorities said.
Nabeel Osama Abdallah, 35, of Norwalk, was charged with disorderly conduct, first-degree threatening, interfering with an officer, and resisting arrest, police said.
Authorities were called to a home on Adams Avenue just after 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, after Abdallah barricaded himself inside and refused to come out, claiming he had a "mission" to complete, Norwalk police said.

A 49-year-old Maryland man was found guilty of gunning down a Connecticut father of three in 2020, authorities said.
Rashad Hardy was found guilty on Aug. 28 of murder, carrying a pistol with a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm, the Connecticut State Attorney's Office said.
Hardy was convicted of killing Ricky Newton, age 36, of New Haven, on Rosette Street in July 2020, police said.

A search of a Connecticut man’s home reportedly unveiled not only an unlicensed repair shop but uncovered an operation to manufacture crack cocaine, ketamine, and more.
The Tolland County incident occurred on Tuesday, June 4 in the town of Somers.
According to police, a search warrant was executed for 53-year-old Randy Matthew Guyette’s Hall Hill Road home.

A Fairfield County man was busted with a gun, ammo, and drugs after a police officer was notified of a suspicious vehicle.
The incident occurred in Norwalk around 10:50 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 in the parking garage at 30 Day St.
When the officer went to check out the "suspicious" vehicle, he noticed a Glock 9mm handgun on the driver's side floorboard of the vehicle, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police.

Two Fairfield County men have been charged with several cases of alleged burglary, robbery, and home invasion.
Norwalk residents Aneudy Martinez, age 22, and Joseph de Jesus Tiburcio Nunez, age 18, were arrested on Wednesday, July 12 for the incident that began in May, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police.
According to Gulino, on Monday, May 22, a home on Lexington Avenue was burglarized, cash was taken, and a television and other items were damaged.

Two Fairfield County men were arrested after getting into a fight at a popular Stratford gym with one pulling a gun.
The incident took place in Stratford around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at the Esporta Fitness located at the 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff.
According to Capt. Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police, officers responded to the gym for a disturbance call.
