Multiple Hospitalizations Reported After Crash Between Jeep, Bus On CT Roadway
Five people received injuries after an alleged drunk driver crashed his Jeep Grand Cherokee into a transit bus on a Connecticut roadway.
It happened in New Haven County around 9 a.m., Sunday, March 13, at the intersection of Dodge Avenue and Prospect Place Extension in East Haven.
The driver, identified as Dario Alvarez-Lema, left the scene on foot prior to police arriving on the scene, said Lt. Stephen Paulson, of the East Haven Police.

Wrong-Way Driver Nabbed After Crash, CT State Police Say
A Connecticut man has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk in the wrong direction on a busy highway causing a two-vehicle crash.
New London County resident James Miles Tanner, age 46, of Colchester, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 9, for the crash which took place around 11:30 p.m., Sunday on Route 395 in Montville, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to state police, Tanner, who was traveling in the wrong direction on the off-ramp of the highway in a Mercury Milan, side-swiped a Mercedes Benz.
No one was injured in the crash.

One Killed In Two-Vehicle CT Crash
Connecticut State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in which a man was killed by an alleged drunk driver.
The crash took place around about 12:45 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, on I-91 in Enfield in Hartford County, said the state police.
According to troopers, Hampden County, Massachusetts resident Fernando Lebron, of Chicopee, was driving his 2004 Scion north in the right lane and Dominic Michael Grassetti, age 24, was driving his 2013 Hyundai Sonata behind him, state police said.

Ex-emt From Fairfield County Sentenced For Crash That Killed Woman
A Fairfield County man who hit and killed a woman walking her dog before fleeing has been sentenced to prison.
Declan Kot, age 24, of Easton, Nov. 10 was sentenced to 20 years, suspended after serving seven years. Five years of probation will follow that, along with 500 hours of community service, according to the Bridgeport Superior Court.
During the first three years of his probation, Kot will be also be required to install an ignition interlock device in his car and undergo substance abuse evaluations.
