Fight Over Cell Phone In Darien Leads To Weston Teen's Arrest, Police Say A Fairfield County teen was charged with alleged breach of peace after getting into a fight over a cell phone. Annabelle Capola, age 19, of Weston, turned herself in to Darien Police on Monday, Jan. 15 for the Wednesday, Jan. 3 incident. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, the victim reported that they had gotten into a "physical altercation" with Capola regarding a cell phone in the parking lot of the Darien Library. Covid-19: Positive Cases Lead To Closure Of Darien Library A Fairfield County library was forced to temporarily close due to positive COVID-19 cases among staff members. On Thursday, March 4, a message was posted on the Darien Library’s website cautioning that it would be closed to allow for contact tracing and for custodial crews to sanitize the building after there were multiple COVID-19 cases confirmed. Darien Tree Conservancy Celebrates Milestone, Welcomes New Board Members DARIEN, Conn. --  Tree Conservancy of Darien celebrated the significant milestone of installing over 600 trees in town at its year-end board of directors meeting on Dec. 5. In addition to reviewing agenda and budget items for the coming year, the local nonprofit also welcomed two new members to its board. Since its inception in 2010, TCD has planted trees at I-95 exits 11 and 13, the Darien train station, along Ledge Road, Darien town beaches, Spring Grove and Veterans cemeteries and Town Hall.
