Stamford Man Caught Speeding In Wilton Was Under Influence, Police Say
A local man was busted for drinking and driving after being caught speeding in his 2015 Audi S4 during a traffic stop in Wilton over Labor Day Weekend. An officer from the Wilton Police Department who was conducting surveillance for impaired drivers stopped Stamford resident Christopher Cole, 30, on Belden Hill Road when he was spotted speeding. During the subsequent stop, police said that while speaking with Cole, he was “slurring his speech and his eyes were glassy.” Cole proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and he was taken into custody.
