Stratford resident Thomas Walker, was arrested shortly before 7:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 following an investigation into the fatal stabbing that day of his mother at her Baird Court home. Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti said that Walker was arrested without incident after his mother was found unresponsive in her home. Investigators from the Trumbull Police Department were alerted at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, of a stolen car that had been taken out of Newington. Police said that further investigation from the Audi’s owner determined that her credit cards, which had been left in the car, had been used within the store earlier that day. Police: Health Aide Stole $100K Worth Of Rings From Fairfield County Woman A local home health care aide was arrested for ripping off several rings worth more than $100,000 from a woman in her care, according to Stratford Police. Nicole Passander, 32, of Ansonia was arrested Friday for felony larceny following an investigation into the thefts, said Capt. Frank Eannotti.  According to Eannotti, the thefts were reported in March and a warrant was issued after the investigation led police to Passander.
