Retailer A.C. Moore Closing All 145 Stores
A.C. Moore has become the latest company to abandon traditional-brick-and-mortar retail stores as part of a “broader strategic plan.”
Nicole Crafts, A.C. Moore’s parent company, announced on Monday, Nov. 25, that it would be closing down all of its 145 arts-and-crafts stores, including in New York and Connecticut, as part of the mass restructuring.

Cool tunes, satiated tummies and smiling faces will be found on the banks of the Saugatuck River as the 12th Annual Blues & Views Festival hits Westport’s Levitt Pavilion.
Anders Osborne, Lawrence, Neville Jacobs and The Main Squeeze lead the two days of killer music, which starts Aug. 31 and continues Sept. 1—rain or shine. Also performing on the Pavilion’s stage will be Flow Tribe, High & Mighty Brass Band, Southern Avenue, The Commonheart, Kat Wright, The National Reserve, Jake Kulak and the Lowdown and Fairfield’s School of Rock.

Thousands Expected For Annual Oyster Festival In Norwalk
The 42nd annual Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival is expected to draw thousands of visitors for performances, food, and fun.
Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot, and Brian Howe will take the night off from performing with Billy Joel to headline the festival.
The event, Friday, Sept. 6, Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 is held at Veteran’s Park, adjacent to Norwalk Harbor on Seaview Avenue in Norwalk.
