Twenty boys were chosen from hockey programs in the tri-state area. The team is coached by Dave Messier, father of Rangers legend Mark Messier.

The Rangers are one of 16 teams from the U.S. and 14 international teams from Canada, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Finland, Switzerland and Ukraine. The Rangers play their first game Sunday, Feb. 13.
