Ludlowe Ekes Out Boys Team Tennis Win

Fairfield Ludlowe High School pulled out a 4-3 boys team tennis win over the Blue Wave of Darien on Friday.

Darien kept the team score close by getting tiebreaker victories from Miller Schweizer  over Peter Wyckoff (The match took three hours to finish) and from the Malcolm Willis/Dominic Hansford doubles pair.

The full match results were: 

• No. 1 Singles: Ludlowe’s Reid Andren defeated Gavin McNulty, 6-2, 6-1

• No. 2 Singles: Ludlowe’s Dan Adajian defeated Charles Khachian, 6-1, 6-3

• No. 3 Singles: Darien’s ?Cal Kervorkian defeated Alex Barker, 6-2, 6-0

• No. 4 Singles: Ludlowe’s James Reiss defeated Rupert Hansford, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5)

• No. 5 Singles: Darien’s Miller Schweizer defeated Peter Wyckoff, 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2)

• No. 1 Doubles: Darien’s Malcolm Willis and Dominic Hansford defeated John Colavito and Adam Rogers, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4)

• No. 2 Doubles: Ludlowe’s Charlie Kottler and Robbie Karson defeated Donald Brown and Will McCoy, 6-4, 6-1
