Greenwich's Deb Jamgochian advanced to match play Sunday at the United States Golf Association's Senior Women's Amateur Championship at Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla. Jamgochian will play her first match today. Darien's Becky Montgelas failed to advance to match play.
Jamgochian shot 75-81-156 for the 36-hole qualifying rounds. She finished tied for 20th place. She will play Anne Carr of Seattle in today's first round. The top 64 players in qualifying advanced to match play. The second and third rounds will be played Tuesday.
Montgelas, playing in her second straight Senior Women's Amateur, shot 88-89-177. Results are available on the USGA website.
