Darien High School Football Team Lifts For A Good Cause

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Blue Wave Football Team from Darien High School will compete against Brien McMahon High School in a lift-a-thon with a twist on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11.

Darien High School and Brien McMahon High School will compete in the annual Lifting Grace event on March 10 and 11.

During "Lifting Grace", the two teams will lift weights, but they will also lift spirits and improve lives by raising funds to support research directed toward a cure for Rasmussen's Encephalitis.

Inspired by Grace Wohlberg, DHS Class of 2016, the sister of former player and captain Mike Wohlberg, the two teams will put their brawn to good use in hopes of bench, squat and cleaning their way to a goal of $10,000.
