New Canaan is ranked No.4, Fairfield Prep is ranked No. 9 and Stamford High zoomed up five spots and is now ranked No. 17. The complete rankings are online.
Darien (5-0) climbed ahead of Southington with its win last week over Fairfield Warde. Southington (4-0) held the No. 1 ranking last week.
New Canaan (5-0) also dropped one spot despite its win over Danbury. Fairfield Prep (3-2) lost to Shelton, 38-35, and dropped one spot. Shelton is 5-0.
Stamford has won four straight games after losing its opener to Prep. The Black Knights beat Ridgefield, 47-32, last week and are averaging 37.4 points per game, the highest in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
Big games loom this weekend in the FCIAC. Stamford hosts Brien McMahon (4-1) on Friday at 6 p.m. while Darien plays Trinity Catholic (4-1) in Stamford on Saturday. New Canaan has a non-league game against Dracut, Mass., on Saturday at 4 p.m.
