Darien and Trinity Volleyball Dig Pink

DARIEN, Conn — Join the undefeated Darien High School girl’s volleyball team in the main gym on Oct. 28 as they participate in Dig Pink.

Darien High, along with hundreds of high school and college teams from around the country, will be taking part in the Dig Pink National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally.

The Blue Wave girls play the Trinity Catholic Crusaders in their last regular season. JV takes the court at 6 p.m., followed by varsity at 7 p.m. Dig Pink attendees are asked to wear something pink in support of breast health awareness. Admission will be $5 and cancer survivors are admitted free of charge.

This is the Darien girls' fourth year participating in Dig Pink. They hope to raise $5,000.

The proceeds from all Dig Pink donations and ticket sales will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which was established in 2004 to lead volleyball coaches and players in the fight against breast cancer, the organization's website says.
