Darien High School Ranked Eighth Best In U.S. For STEM Program

DARIEN, Conn. -- US News & World Report ranked Darien High School in eighth place in the U.S. for STEM (Science, Technology, Math, Engineering) education.

Since 2005, the Darien Foundation provided over $325,000 in grants to the school's science and technology departments as well as gifts such as the PASCO Physics Lab, a Leica Microscopy Lab and an iPad PASCO lab. 

Rankings are based on the level of math and science participation and success. Advanced Placement data from 2013 was used for the criteria.
