Klein is running for the 141st Assembly District, which represents Darien and Rowayton.

“As a small business owner for over 30 years, I’ve seen the impact decisions in Hartford have on a day-to-day basis. But I’ve also seen the resilience of the residents of our district and state, and their willingness to put partisanship behind us and get down to the business of governing,” Klein said in a speech. “We’ll need to proactively identify opportunities instead of passively reacting after the time for action has long since passed.”

“As your state representative, I pledge to be a voice for progress for our district,” he continued, emphasizing his commitment to investment in modern infrastructure, transportation innovation and creating a business-friendly climate throughout the state.

“I will stand up and fight for expanded access to the ballot box - not restrict it,” he added. “I will stand up and fight to make sure that anyone who shouldn’t have a gun doesn’t gain access to one. I will stand up and fight to keep the planet we call home, safe from pollution and global warming.”

Klein was joined by Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling as well as State Sens. Bob Duff and Carlo Leone.

“Partisan politics gets in the way of progress. I know Randy will roll up his sleeves and reach across the aisle,” Rilling said. “Randy is a person who gets involved in the community. But more importantly, Randy is a guy who really knows how to get things done.”

Klein lives in Darien and owns Drivers Unlimited Limousine Service established in 1980, a small business located in Norwalk.

He will be seeking public funding for his campaign through the Citizens’ Election Program.
