DARIEN, Conn. – Packages were reported stolen from the steps of two Darien homes last week, according to police reports.

A West Avenue resident called police on Tuesday, Dec. 17, to report that three packages had been stolen earlier that day. The resident received e-mail notifications from FedEx and UPS that packages had been delivered at noon and 2:05 p.m., respectively, according to the report. When the resident returned home at 7:30 p.m. the packages were not there.

The items stolen in that incident included a smartphone-attachable camera lens valued at $249, a pair of men’s shoes worth $34, and a package from York Photo valued at $45.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, police received a report of items that they believe had been stolen on Saturday, Dec. 14. A Long Neck Point Road resident told police that FedEx records showed the packages being delivered on Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. The resident never received the items, according to the police report.
