DARIEN, Conn. — A Darien homeowner probably wishes he had the power of the force after the "Star Wars" stormtrooper helmet he ordered was stolen, police said.
The package containing the helmet — worth about $200 — was stolen from his steps, according to Darien police.
According to UPS, the package had been delivered on March 24 at 3:48 p.m., police said.
The empty box from the helmet was found at about 11 a.m. March 25 by police officers investigating a car burglary, police said.
While doing a canvass, officers saw an empty open package off the side of the road in front of 1 Peach Hill. It was addressed to the Buttonwood Lane residence, police said.
Police seized the package as evidence. It had been taken, opened and discarded, police said.
