The Darien Times reported thieves took approximately $27,000 in jewelry from a home on Wildcat Road. The victim told police she stored a box with jewelry on June 16 before leaving for a trip. The box was missing when she returned on June 20. She reported the theft on July 11, believing she had misplaced the box. During the woman's vacation, contractors at the home installed a kitchen floor at her home.
There were no signs of forced entry. Darien detectives spoke with contractors who had access to the home at the suspected time of the theft. Click here for the Darien Times story.
