Copper Gutters Reported Stolen From Darien House

DARIEN, Conn. – Approximately 100 feet in copper and other items were stolen from a work site in Darien last week, according to police reports.

The thefts occurred sometime between 3 p.m. on July 16 and 9 a.m. on July 17 at a home slated for demolition on Brookside Road. A set of copper gutters, along with their flashings and valleys, had already been removed from the home but were still on site prior to the theft, police said.

Also reported stolen were wood shutters and a small wine fridge that had been in the house’s basement. Police did not have an estimated value of the items taken.
