Officers responded to the YMCA on Post Road on Wednesday, Dec. 13 on a report of a burglary. They met with a woman who said she had parked her car in the lost at around 5:30 p.m. and returned at 6:40 p.m.
When she returned, she saw that the rear passenger's side window had been broken, police said. A black purse that had been left on the front passenger's seat was gone. The purse was valued at $300, and contained prescription glasses valued at $400, police said.
Detectives responded to the scene to process for evidence, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
