At around 7 a.m. Sunday, a Sherry Lane resident got into her 2015 Mercedes ML350 and noticed the glove box and center console were ajar, and the contents had been rifled through, police said. She said that she had parked her car in front of the garage at around 7 p.m. the night before, and left the car unlocked.
Nothing appeared to be missing, and the owner didn't see or hear anything suspicious, police said. A neighborhood canvass turned up no additional information and the investigation is ongoing.
