Darien Police say they received a report stating that an engagement ring went missing while contractors were working on the complainant’s Fitch Avenue home on Wednesday, April 10 around 4 p.m.
The report stated that the ring had last been seen Monday, April 8 by the complainant’s wife, who had allegedly placed it on or in her nightstand, according to police.
Contractors on scene allegedly denied having any knowledge of the ring or its whereabouts, police say.
The ring’s estimated value is $30,000, according to police.
