Natale was born Jan. 22, 1929, in Danbury, son of Francis and Margaret (Barbarotto) Natale. He began working at an early age at Gillotti & Sons on Liberty Street as a butcher. He served in the United States Army as a cook from 1947 to 1948. He recently retired from Dandy Distributors after 38 years of working as a warehouse manager. He was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. He was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans.
Natale is survived by his wife, Ann Marie (Rodrigues); daughter, Donna Kaplanis (Nick); son, David Natale, all of Danbury; two grandchildren; brother, Ronald Natale of Oklahoma; sisters, Marie Landolfi of Rhode Island, Rita Casey (Charles) of New Fairfield, Lucille Hrabcsak (Rudy) of Danbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Sylvester, Ralph, Michael, Henry and Robert Natale; and sister, Patricia Pannozzo.
Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Green Funeral home on 57 Main St., in Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at Saint Gregory the Great Church. Interment will follow at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Danbury.
