Wind Advisory Is In Effect For Southern Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The rain that fell overnight is moving eastward, but winds will be a factor for the rest of the morning on Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 11 a.m. Monday that includes Southern Fairfield County as well as Southern Westchester, Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island.

Winds, at 15 to 25 mph, could gust as high as 45 to 50 mph and could bring down trees, causing scattered power outages.
