Stamford Man Charged in Stabbing Death

STAMFORD, Conn. – Oscar Jeronimo, 22, was arrested Monday morning and charged with first-degree murder in a fatal stabbing Sunday outside of a nightclub. Jeronimo was accused of stabbing 40-year-old Jorge Herrera-Lopez in the chest just before 2 a.m., The Stamford Advocate reported. 

The two became involved in an altercation as the nightclub was closing and people were filing onto the street, police said. Officers later found Lopez lying in a pool of blood at the corner of Pacific and Dock streets. He was taken to Stamford Hospital, where he later died of his wounds. the Advocate reported.
