Superintendent Stephen Falcone is the highest paid town employee, with an annual salary of $237,000. He is followed by Assistant Superintendents Judith Pandolfo and Matt Byrnes, who each make $183,871. Darien High School Principal Arlene Gottesman is fourth, with a salary of $175,000.
Town Administrator Karl Kilduff is the highest paid non-school employee with a salary of $155,494, according to information from the town's Finance Department. His salary ranks 14th on the overall list of Darien town employees.
Next on the list of the schools’ highest salaries are Middlesex Middle School Principal Debi Boccanfuso at $171,877 and Special Education Director Deirdre Osypuk at $166,654. They are followed by Hindley Principal Rita Ferri and Royle Principal Keith Margolus, who each make $166,332.
Rounding out the Top 10 are School Finance Director Richard Huot at $165,564, and Darien High assistant principal Ellen Dunn, whose salary is $159,830.
After Kilduff on the list of highest salaries for non-school employees are Public Works Director Bob Steeger at $146,499 (for 19th overall in town), Police Chief Duane Lovello at $145,149 (for 20th overall) and Finance Director Kathleen Buch at $143,871 (for 21st overall).
Police Capts. Fred Komm and Gary Pavia are tied at 28th overall, each making $128,418. Parks and Recreation Director Sue Swiatek (for 35th overall) follows them on the list of non-school employees with $115,613. Finishing up the Top 10 non-school employees are Human Resources Director Nancy Markey at $115,560 (for 36th overall), Planning and Zoning Director Jeremy Ginsberg at $114,872 (for 37th overall) and Town Assessor Anthony Homicki at $114,056 (for 38th overall).
