Eversource Helicopter Conducts Aerial Surveillance In Darien

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Eversource's helicopter will be flying overhead this week in Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford, and Westport to survey its transmission lines with high-resolution cameras in an effort to strengthen the power grid and increase reliability.

Photographs collected during these flights will help build a more detailed record of structures, lines and other electrical equipment which will increase the efficiency of maintaining the electric system in the state, according to a release from the company.

Flights will take place from 7 a.m. to dusk. The helicopter assigned to this project is black with a registration number N175JL.
