DARIEN, Conn. Darien parents can buy their kids a treat to celebrate that they were just ranked the third-most spoiled children in the country in a recent survey.
According to Bundle.com, Darien parents spend 92 percent more than the national average on their kids. The rankings were determined by looking at spending per household with children at stores that sell toys, clothing and other services for kids.
Several other Fairfield County towns also ended up on the list. Greenwich came in at No. 9, spending 55 percent more than the national average spends on their kids. Stamford ranked No. 12 and Norwalk was No. 13. According to the survey, Fairfield spends 13 percent less than the national average on their kids.
Beating out Darien for the top spots were Santa Monica, Calif., and Lake Forest, Ill. Coming in last on the list was Littleton, Colo.
