Accident On I-95 Near Border Of Stamford, Darien Stalls Friday Traffic

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A two-car accident on Interstate 95 North between exits 8 and 9, near the Stamford/Darien border, is clogging the thoroughfare at the height of rush hour on Friday.

Traffic on the Northbound side of the I-95 (right) was congested in Fairfield County on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred at 4:48 p.m. and closed one lane. There was no estimate on when the accident would be cleared.

An earlier accident in Westport around 3:45 p.m. also contributed to the rough Friday ride home for commuters.

Traffic was slow, but moving, on the northbound side of the Merritt Parkway.
