“Ticket presales are a great way to get right to the fun after the parade. We’ve been finding when you have young children in strollers - kids who are excited to get to the action - it’s hard to wait on line, so this way you can ease right on in,” said Gayle Close, co-chair of ticket sales for the Post 53 Food Fair in a press release. “We’ve worked with the town and many generous local retailers who have kindly allowed us to set up ticket sales outside their stores. Their assistance has been tremendous – you’ll see our Post 53 volunteers all over town in the next few weeks. We want to give a big thank our retail partners for their support.”
Tickets are $5 and will be sold by Post 53 members outside locations such as Darien Doughnut, Darien Sport Shop, Dunkin Donuts, Espresso Neat, Fabricare Cleaners, Glen Liquors, Heights Pizza, Leary’s Liquor Cabinet, Mama Carmela’s Deli, Nielsen’s Florist & Garden Shop, Palmer’s Market, Ring’s End, Stop & Shop Good Wives Shopping Center, Stop & Shop Noroton Heights Shopping Center, Sugar Bowl, Tengda Asian Bistro Darien and Vavala’s Deli & Catering.
Founded in 1970, Post 53 provides emergency medical services to the Darien community.
