Warren got into the Kris Kringle business years ago when the owner of then Stamford-based Cannondale Bikes, where his wife worked, asked him to put on the outfit for their company Christmas party, then told him to hang on the suit.
That was about seven suits ago and the rest is more or less history. The fact that Warren has a big white beard helps and looks a bit jolly helps. "Even in blue jeans, when I go into the City around the holidays, people stop me for photos," he said.
As for what's "hot" among the kiddie set this year, Warren cites Pokemon cards, Legos, Barbie, Shopkins, Surprizamals, drones, virtual reality head sets, wand the I scream pillow.
Above all, everyone wants a photo.
Darien Sport Shop provides both holiday shopping and Santa photos on the following dates:

Santa will also be at Mill River Park in Stamford at the new carousel ride on Friday, Dec. 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the same times on Thursday, Dec. 22, and Friday, Dec. 23.
