Duryea has been artist-in-residence at Kirby and Co. for the past two months, and to celebrate the end of a successful time, Kirby and Co. and Duryea have decided to do something a little different.

Duryea just returned from a painting trip to Umbria and Rome with a slew of new paintings that will be sold at Kirby and Co. As a graduate of Darien High School, Duryea benefited tremendously from the art department.

For the final week of the show, 15 percent (10 percent from Duryea, 5 percent from Kirby and Co.) of all profits from sales on Duryea's work will go toward the DHS art department.

The work will be available to purchase both online and in the store.

The show will culminate with a party on Wednesday, May 27, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., featuring drinks, nibbles and live music. The first 50 to RSVP will be entered into a raffle for a free 6-by-6-inch painting by Duryea, valued at $85. The winner must be present at the closing show to accept the painting.

The event will be at Kirby and Co., 1029 Post Road.
