'Punky Brewster' Actress Comes To Darien's Barrett Bookstore

DARIEN, Conn. -- "Punky Brewster" actress and business entrepreneur Soleil Moon Frye will be at Barrett Bookstore in Darien on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to promote her new book Let's Get This Party Started: DIY Celebrations for You and Your Kids to Create Together.

The book features 15 fun and inexpensive parties that parents can throw for their children. Each party includes two crafts, a game and a recipe that parents are intended to work on with their children. Themed parties in the book include, the fairy party, the pirate party, the movie-on-the-lawn party, the camp party, the ’80s party, the rainbow party, the Halloween party and the luau. 

The 1980s child star now has a successful kids' clothing line at Target and is a regular contributor on NBC's Today show. 

Barrett Bookstore is located at 314 Heights Road in Darien.
