Darien Library Presents Documentary On Social Stereotypes Of Boys

DARIEN, Conn. – The YWCA Parent Awareness and the Darien Library are presenting a screening of "The Mask You Live In."

The documentary from "Miss Representation" director Jennifer Siebel Newsom poses the question: "Are we failing our boys?" The film explores the issues and social stereotypes that surround young American masculinity. 

Following the screening is a discussion by James McGinn. McGinn works as a crisis interventionist and mental health counselor at Ridgefield High and is an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician at Family Center's Center for Hope. 

"The Mask You Live In" screens at Darien Library on May 11 at 7 p.m. Darien Library is located at 1441 Post Road.
