All proceeds will raise awareness of and funds for the programs and services of Greenwich-based Kids in Crisis, which provides free, round-the-clock counseling and shelter services for Fairfield County children and families.

Co-chairs Briggs Forelli of Darien and Rich Fedeli of New Canaan are organizing the event, which includes 18 holes of golf, pre-round breakfast and post-round dinner, and silent as well as live auctions.

Call to carts will take place at 11:15 a.m.

Kids Challenge has raised more than $1 million since 1997 through the support of 120 golfers annually, representing a range of Fairfield County businesses and residents.

“The Kids Challenge Golf Tournament is a great opportunity for golfers and businesses to connect and network,” Fedeli said.

“Most importantly, the day raises critical funds for Kids in Crisis," he said.

Forelli added, "We encourage people to come out and support the cause, whether golfing, attending the dinner, or simply making a donation."

Individuals and businesses interested in participating can learn more and purchase tickets at www.kidsincrisis.org.

Since Kids in Crisis was founded in 1978, it has helped more than 132,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, 6,184 children and families received assistance from the organization.
